Are you looking to create your own short film but need to remove the audio from some video clips so you can add your own dialog or music? Here’s a great way to remove the audio from video files with Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate.
Step 1: Download and install Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate. This is a great application that can convert almost any media file to most any other media file format. Installation is very basic.

Step 2: Start the software. Click on the “Profile” on the bottom panel. Choose the output file format from the list. You’ll likely want to keep the same file format, but you may change to a different format if you so choose.

Step 3: On the pop-up window, click on the “Add File” button and browse for your video file. Click “Open” to add the file.

Step 4: Next, click on the “Profile Setting” button. On the “Profile Setting” window, change the “Disable Audio” setting to “True”.

Step 5: Click the “Convert” button at the top to begin the process of converting the video and removing the audio. You can follow the progress of the conversion under the “Convert State.” Conversion times will vary depending on file size and your computer hardware.

When the process is finished the original audio will be gone and your output file will be ready for your new audio track.
